1997 DO-78 rate period franked taxation notice + unlisted error stamp: 16 Jan 1997 Hebrew dated “8/95” series sender taxation notice to TEL AVIV requesting additional franking for attempting to send a letter whose weight was above 20g (indicated by boxed instructional handstamp): the sender paid 1.10 NIS instead of 2 NIS, and was charged postage dues of 1.80 NIS (double the deficiency), which he paid using 4x 5 Ag 1986 Herzl Ba #SB.12 + 2x 80 Ag 1989 Archeology (with 2 phosphor lines – unlisted in Bale) Ba #1000 stamps tied by 2 strikes of unusual 15-03-84(!) TEL AVIV-63 ‘frozen‘ date canceller & 19-01-97 TEL AVIV-3 machine cancel arrival, on return-reply card to the TEL AVIV postal inspector.
